Ogun 2019: Labour Party appeals for free, fair, peaceful election

The State Executive Council of Labour party in ogun state has felicitated with the good people of Ogun State on the 2019 new year celebration while calling for free and free and fair election as the nation approach 2019.
This call was conveyed in a season’s greeting message signed by the chairman of the party in the state, Comrade Biodun Owolabi and Kilamuwaye Oladayo Badmus, the public relations officer of the party, Mr Oginni Olaposi Sunday, on Saturday.
“As we approach electioneering year ,we reinstate our position that Ogun State can only be developed in a peaceful environment devoid of violence and banditry.
“We also call on the Independent Electoral Commission INEC to ensure that the coming election is free, fair and credible.
“There are insinuation that the electoral umpire is ready to rig and ensure that APC got a preferential treatment at the poll.
“We hereby call on Nigerians and particularly Ogun State electorates to  resist this we also condemn any attempt by INEC to rig the coming elections.
“In the same vein, we hereby call on the general public to make it a point of duty to collect their permanent voter cards, PVCs, it’s very necessary for our teeming supporters to go and collect their PVC at INEC Office.
“The PVC is the only weapon to be used to liberate ourselves from our oppressors,” the party said.
