A 52-year-old unemployed man, Pedro Ezekiel, on Monday admitted pouring a substance suspected to be acid on another man in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

Ezekiel admitted before an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court that he poured the substance on one Mr Uthman Mohammed after a disagreement.

Following his guilty plea, the Chief Magistrate, Mrs A. Oshodi-Makanju, remanded Ezekiel pending review of the facts of the case and sentencing.

Ezekiel is facing a count charge.

According to Police Sgt. Mary Ajiteru, the accused committed the offence on Nov. 30 in front of Holy Ghost Fire Apostolic Church, Okegbegun, Ikorodu, in contravention of Sections 246 (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).

The case has been adjourned until Dec. 6, for review of facts and sentencing.
