The inauguration of the 27 sports associations in Kwara State will hold Nov. 29. Kwara State Director of Sports, Tunde Kazeem said the inauguration would be performed by the State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed.
According to him, the event which will hold at the Indoor sports hall of the State Stadium Complex, Ilorin, is geared towards sports development in the state.
”Members of the Associations are expected to collaborate with the State in the development of sports in the State,” he said.
He said that the inauguration was coming few weeks to the commencement of the National Sports Festival billed for Abuja in December.
Kazeem said members of the Associations were carefully selected based on their tracks record and commitment to Sports development.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Sports Associations in Kwara was dissolved last year.
