The Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressive Congress for Enugu East Senatorial Zone, Prince Lawrence Eze, over the weekend declared that the fortunes of the APC in the state has completely dimished the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

Eze stated this in Enugu over the weekend, while responding to questions from journalists during the visit of the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibanjo to the state.

He noted that the PDP had continually peddled lies that there is no APC presence in the city, and that the outcome of the visit proved otherwise.

“The visit of the Vive President to Enugu State today has further energized the APC in the state. It has proven too that Enugu APC has life in it, that Enugu APC has taken over the entire Enugu State.

“The PDP is diminished completely, and APC has risen, so there is obviously a lull in their camp but this has energized and encouraged our members.

“For the very first time, the Vice President is welcomed to Enugu State on the tarmac of the airport by teeming supporters of the APC. It has never happened before, this is because they have always ben fed with the wrong impression that there is no APC here but today, what has transpired shows that Enugu State has become purely an APC state,” Eze said.

He also debunked rumors that the APC is pro-violent, starting that they are most peaceful in all their dealings:

According to him, “For those of us in APC, we are very law-abiding. APC has never at any point in time, been associated with any form of violence and obviously, we ensure that our teeming supporters maintain peace that we have all enjoyed in the state. Enugu State APC is a peaceful people.”
