NiMet predicts cloudy weather, thunderstorms, rain showers for Monday

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted partly cloudy weather conditions with chances of thunderstorms and rain showers over most parts of the country on Monday.

NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Sunday, predicted thunderstorms over the central cities with day and night temperatures of 28 to 35 and 17 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.

It added that scattered thunderstorms were likely over this region in the afternoon and evening period with day and night temperatures of 31 to 34 and 17 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.

The agency predicted that Northern States would experience thunderstorms with partly cloudy morning over Sokoto, Maiduguri, Nguru and Potiskum.

These cities are expected to have day and night temperatures of 31 to 38 and 21 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.

It also predicted thunderstorms over Sokoto, Maiduguri, Nguru and Potiskum and partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over the remaining parts in the afternoon and evening hours.

According to NiMet, Southern States will experience thunderstorms throughout Monday with day and night temperatures of 30 to 32 and 20 to 26 degrees Celsius respectively.

“Prospects of thunderstorms and rains are envisaged over most parts of the country in the next 24 hours.”
