Former Speaker of the House of Representatives and a second time gubernatorial aspirant under  the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2011, now the Ogun State governorship candidate of Action Democratic Party, Hon Samod Dimeji Bankole, has expressed the confidence that his present  party will unseat the incumbent governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun of the All Progressive Congress (APC)  in 2019.

He said this on Monday when he was formally unveiled by the state party Chairman, Chief Wale Egunleti, to other party members and supporters at the party secretariat, Onikolobo, Abeokuta.

He said the party was well structured and would displace the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state in the coming general elections.

Bankole who thanked the party for being elected as the governorship candidate in the state promised that he would not waste the ticket.

He said, “I am exceedingly happy to be nominated as our party’s governorship candidate.

“I am grateful to this massive structure you have built in the last six years, especially in the last two years.

“I promise that I will not, in any capacity, play with the ticket that you have given. I assure you that the economic complexities of Ogun State are not difficult. And the motor of our party ‘Mass Employment’ is something that we will follow.”
