Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar who recently became the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential flag bearer today visited his former principal, Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. Archbishop Kuka of Sokoto archdiocese , Sheikh Abubakar Gumi and Bishop David Oyedepo were also there. The three religious leaders have been critical of President Muhammadu Buhari of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, especially over his inability to stem the ongoing killings across the country.  Clearly, it was a reconciliation meeting. In other words, it was to make Obasanjo who had been threatening fire and brimstone not to support Atiku as 2019 inches closer change his mind. Some PDP leaders were also present to bring truce.
