Just in: NLC announces suspension of national strike

The Nigerian Labour Congress has suspended the national strike it declared on  September 26 over failure of progress in its request for new national minimum wage from government.

Comrade Ayuba Wabba, the President of the NLC announced the suspension of the strike at a press conference on Sunday in Abuja.

“The suspension takes effect from today Sunday,” he said.
