#OsunDecides2018: Anxiety as PDP protests LGA result

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has raised alarm over what it decribed as reduction of the total number of votes it scored in one of the local governments in the Osun gubernatorial election held on Saturday by 1000 votes.

The PDP in a tweet said, “We reject in totally the reduction of @OfficialPDPNig votes by 1,000 in Aiyeaadade LGA.We believe @inecnigeria is under tremendous pressure by the defeated @OfficialAPCNg to further jeopardize our electoral process. We will not accept any results except those from polling units.”

Reports indicate that anxiety is building up in Osogbo as supporters and officials of the Peoples Democratic Party accused INEC of vote tampering on account of the declared results from Ayedaade Local Government Area.

The collation officer announced that the PDP candidate, Ademola Adeleke, scored 10,836 votes in Ayedaade while the All Progressives Congress’ candidate, Gboyega Oyetola, scored 10,861 votes.

The PDP party agent who protested at the state collation centre was asked to seek clarifications from the officials who supervised the elections at the local government.

But he later announced that the disgareementhas been resolved.
