COREN accredits all engineering programmes in Edo University

The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, (COREN), has accredited all engineering programmes currently offered at the Edo University Iyamho.

The President or COREN, Engr. Kashim Abdul Ali, announced recently, when he led other members of the Council to the University.

He stated that the body whose responsibility is to accredit engineering programmes in Nigeria universities, has accredited all engineering programmes currently offered by the University, adding that the university was well suited to train undergraduates who will in turn become qualified engineers in no distance time.

They were earlier conducted on a guide tour round the facilities of the University by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor.

Engr. Ali who expressed satisfaction at the level of facilities at the University, added that they were really impressed with the state-of-the-art facilities available at the University, which he said can be compared with any facilities one can find anywhere in the world.

“I have gone round universities campuses both locally and internationally, the facilities here are first class, they can be compare with any facilities you can see anywhere in the world. The Engineering Programmes have met the basic requirements,” he added.

The COREN President also eulogized the Edo State Government for its vision in establishing a world-class University that can compete with any university in the world.
