College offers full university scholarship to 4 students

The Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), formerly Nigerian Turkish International College, on Monday offered full university scholarship to its four best graduating students.

The school announced the scholarship at the 13th graduation ceremony of its Ogun branch.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the four students are among 62 students it graduated from the branch in the 2018 edition, on Monday.

The beneficiaries – Ifonlaja Busayo, Habiba Taiwo, Sanusi Ganiyatu and Omaore God’sfavour – are to study at the Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja.

The Principal of the College, Mr Ercan Yilmaz said that the aim was to promote hard work and excellence among the youth.

He said that the branch had graduated about 600 students since establishment 18 years ago.

“We have graduated 13 sets in NTIC, Ogun Branch; altogether, we have about 600 graduates,” he said.

Yilmaz said that some of the some graduates of the college had made impacts in various fields of endeavour.

The principal said that the college had established an alumni department saddled with the responsibility of monitoring its students all through their university education.
Yilmaz said that the aim was to ensure that the students would make informed decision at all stages.

“We also have a working alumni for our students who have graduated from universities, with the aim of helping those who have got jobs to thrive in their careers,’’ he said.
