The police in Ondo State on Thursday paraded five suspected cult members said to be terrorising Akungba-Akoko community and its environs.

Mr Gbenga Adeyanju, the Commissioner of Police in the state, who paraded the suspects, said they were arrested on June 6 based on tip off.

According to Adeyanju, all the suspects have confessed to being members of the Scorpion cult group operating in Akungba and its environs.

He said the suspects would soon be arraigned in court after completion of investigation, according to the News Agency of Nigetia, NAN.

Adeyanju also said the command arrested a school bus driver who stole a Toyota Bus marked KTU 402 AU and belonging to a private school.

He explained that the suspect was arrested on June 6 at about 6:30 pm by a team of patrol men on the Ayetoro-Akinfosile expressway.

According to Adeyanju, the vehicle has been recovered from the suspect.

Adeyanju said the suspect would soon be charged to court.
