Sen. Dino Melaye:

Senator Dino Melaye (APC,Kogi)  said he was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Monday morning while he was on his way to Morocco for an official engagement sponsored by the federal government.

It will be recalled Melaye was declared wanted last month by the Police.

” I was at the Airport lounge when they called me that my attention was needed by the officials of the Immigration. When I got there, they told me I’m under arrest on the request of the Police, ” Melaye told Abuja based Daily Trust newspaper.

He said the Immigration officials showed him an instruction on his arrest.

Melaye told journalists that he was still at the airport in the custody of the Immigration officials.
