The Adamawa government is set to amend the area court laws for efficient judiciary Service delivery in the state.

Mr Bala Sanga, State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, made this known on Wednesday while briefing newsmen in Yola shortly after the meeting of State Executive Council.

He said that the review would, among other things, give room for only lawyers to be appointed as judges in area courts.

Sanga said that the current operations in the area courts had not met public demand for speedy dispensation of justice.

He said that area courts had a lot of limitations in their operations, especially with regards validity of cases emanating from them.

Also briefing newsmen, Commissioner for Culture in the state, Mr Tawaliu Magaji, said that the council had approved N15.8 million for the expansion of the state Arts Council building.

Magaji said that the funds were approved for the upgrading of facilities at the Arts and Culture building.

He said the gesture would help boost activities in the sector.
