FMC At 25: Hospital Lays Foundation For Bedroom Flats for Nurses

Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta

The Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Abeokuta, in its bid to mark twenty-five years in which the hospital was founded in Ogun State and to appreciate its workers, on weekend layed down blocks of bedroom flats for her nurses to ease them of stress after work.

The Medical director of the Center, Prof Adewale Musa Olomu, made these known at the opening match pass of the celebration at the centre “that the houses are meant to ease out stress and for them to relax after a long and marathon work in the hospital’s.

Prof Musa during his opening speech appreciated the executive Governor Ibikunle Amosun for his generousity to the center since he (Musa) assume the office of Director of the center not minding it to be a federal hospital.

Olomu gracefully showed his sincere appreciation for the 170 acres of land for the medical university where work will start.

Adewale noted that the celebration will last for a month but urged them not to relent.

The chairman committee of the anniversary, Dr Olufemi Also, therefore askd for more support of the workers and the general public.
