PHOTOS: Abuja indigenes protest marginalisation by FG

Youths who are indigenes of Abuja took to Bill Clinton Drive, Airport road, Abuja, on Wednesday morning to protest what they described as unfair deal from Federal Government since they gave up their lands for use as Nigeria’s federal capital territory.

Armed with different placards, the youths complained of lack of payment of compensation by the Federal Capital Authority since 1984 when the government took over their land.

The youths who dressed in ways that reflect their culture, also complained of lack of good roads, water, schools and some other amenities, especially in the satellite towns and the villages they have been consigned to following appropriation of their land by the Nigerian government.
