• Promises Adequate Care of Survivors
Governor M. A. Abubakar had condoled with the families of the students and teachers of Command Junior Secondary School Misau, who lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident while returning from an excursion trip in Kano.
The Governor who suspended all official assignments was in Misau personally to meet with the family of the deceased.
He prayed for the souls of the departed and strength for the families to carry on. The Governor also condoled the Emir of Misau on the tragedy, saying that it is very terrible for the state to lose her young and promising stars.
In addition, Governor Abubakar said that the state government will not abandon the families. He disclosed that the two survivors – a teacher and a student – currently in the hospital, will receive adequate medical care and rehabilitation. He extended the condolences of President Muhammadu Buhari who he said was sad about the unfortunate incident and is mourning with the state.
