Security challenges: Take the bull by the horn, JNI tells FG, states

The Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) has appealed to the federal and state governments to take proactive measures against security challenges facing the country.

The Secretary General of the organisation, Dr Khalid Abubakar made the appeal at a news briefing in Kaduna.

Abubakar urged the governments at all levels to take the “bull by the horn” by prosecuting promoters of hate speech.

He advised the governments to engage critical stakeholders with a view to finding lasting solutions to the problems so as to ensure quick return to peace in the country.

The Secretary General urged religious leaders to desist from making inciting and provocative statements that are capable of escalating crises and violence in the country.

Abubakar conveyed the organisation’s condolences to all victims of unfortunate crises.

He appealed to authorities to ensure justice is done to all sides so as to prevent further crisis.
