Ogun Police nab 2 brothers for rape, a man for Indian hemp possession

The Nigeria Police Ogun State Command, in December, arrested two brothers Paul Jibunor, 23 and Nkoenye Jibunor 28, for serial rape and robbery and a man, Mr Noah Olaore, for possession of 114 bags of Indian hemp.

The duo were nabbed on 31st of December 2017 following a report from one Ijeoma who complaned at Ojodu Abiodun Division that she was picked in a taxi by three men on 29 December from Fela shrine Oregun Lagos to Iwo street Ojodu Abiodun on an agreed fare. The men, at a point, forcefully dragged her down and unlawfully had carnal knowledge of her after which they dispossessed her of her belongings.

She stated further that she sighted the three men at Adebayo area of Ojodu and was able to recognize them.

The DPO Ojodu Abiodun division, Sp Bamidele Job detailed detectives to the area where two of the suspects were arrested while the third one escaped.

The suspects confessed to the crime. Further investigation revealed that they had been involved in series of rape cases around the area, and that their mode of operation is to use uber taxi to pick their victims to an isolated area where victims are raped in turn before dispossessing them of their belongings.

Some of the victims’ properties such as necklace, phone and wrist watch were recovered from them.

The Police also arrested one Mr Noah Olaore with 114 bags of Indian hemp.

Asp Abimbola Oyeyemi,the Police public Relation Officer made this known to pressmen in its release that Noah was arrested on the 29th of December 2017, in front of M.K.O Abiola stadium Abeokuta.

Asp Abimbola said the arrest of the suspect followed an information received by men of Federal Anti Robbery Squad that some hoodlums who specialized in importing hard drug from Benin Republic into Ogun State are on their way coming.

A team of FSARS operatives led by Inspector Adeyemi Akeem were detailed to go after the hoodlums and they accosted them in front of M.K.O Abiola stadium where the suspect was arrested with the exhibits.

Further investigation led the Police to Igbo-Ora in Oyo State where more bags of the weeds were recovered which made the total bags of Indian hemp recovered to be 114.

The Commissioner of Police, Cp Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered that the two brothers should be transferred to State Criminal investigation and intelligence Department for discreet investigation and prosecution. He equally ordered that the escaped member of the group must be hunted for and brought to justice.

Meanwhile the Cp Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered a full scale investigation on Noah with the view of arresting other members of the syndicate
