Airforce officer loses car, burns down filling station in Abuja

MC MANAKAI filling station, one of the three sealed for free fuel dispense, ordered by the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) on Thursday 28 December 2017, in Bassa Village, Airport, Abuja, was gutted by fire Monday evening.

The fire started at about 6.30pm when an Airforce officer was filling his car, Toyota Camry (pencil lights) with the free fuel.

An eyewitness said that after the officer filled up his car tank, and in the process of filing two extra jerry cans at the back seat of the vehicle, the car exploded. All the security officers guarding and serving the free fuel ran for their dear life, leaving behind villagers putting off the the fire.

Fire service arrived at the scene 45 minutes after the people had made efforts in putting off the fire.
