Police command in Nasarawa gets new CP

Mr Ahmed Bello has assumed duty as new Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State command.

The command’s Spokesman, DSP Kennedy Idirisu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Lafia that the new police boss, until his posting to the state, was in charge of Homicide Section, Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department (FCIID) Abuja.

Idirisu said CP Bello took over from CP Mohammed Uba-Kura, who had been posted to FCIID Abuja.

According to the PPRO, the new commissioner joined Nigeria Police in 1984, spent several of his service years in Police Mobile Force (PMF).

He also served as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Administration in Bayelsa and Taraba, as well as DCP in charge of operations, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) command.
