Anambra residents organise rally to support SARS

Residents of Anambra on Monday converged in Awka  and embarked on a peaceful rally displaying banners and placards with various inscriptions such as “#lets SARS be”in support of officers and Men attached to Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) in the State.

The rally, according to the organisers, was aimed at showing solidarity for the glaring achievements of the Special Anti Robbery squad in the State,  especially the reduction to the barest minimum cases of armed robbery and kidnappings.

The protesters marched through the streets in the State capital and terminated at SARS office Akwuzu, they also presented a letter of solidarity to the Deputy Commissioner of Police Administration, DCP Chris Owolabi on behalf of the Commissioner of Police CP Garba Baba Umar Psc for onward delivery to the Inspector General of Police IGP Ibrahim K Idris.
  
The rally ended peacefully and people dispersed to their various destinations.
