Governor Ishaku

Governor Darius Dickson lshaku has appreciated Women and youths in the state for their continuous support to his administration.

Darius Ishaku said this yesterday when a group of women in Politics and Youths of the Rescue house in their numbers blocked the entrance of Government House in solidarity and to congratulate him on the recent award presented to him by The Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, in collaboration with the Association of Local Government of Nigeria ALGON, which took place at the Yar Adua Center in Abuja.

He maintained that the award was an indication that his Rescue Mission in the state is on course and reaffirmed his determination to continue to initiate viable projects that would enhance the lives of Taraba citizens positively.

Governor Ishaku stated that recently, the Rescue Mission employed the services of 3,000 teachers to help reposition the educational sector of the state and stressed that with about two universities in the state and other higher institutions of learning, it has become imperative for the state Government to adequately revive the sector for optimal performance

The state Governor revealed that since the award came from a strong and vibrant Union, NULGE and in partnership ALGON who are part of the NLC has made the award to be more credible and acceptable.

Darius Ishaku however dedicated the award to the good people of the state for their continuous support to the success of the rescue mission embarked upon to better the state in all ramifications.

Speaking during the solidarity visit, the Women Leader of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, National Alliance Northeast Zone, Deborah Stephen, hailed the Governor for standing tall, which she said is an attestation to the numerous and variety of projects courtesy of the rescue mission.

Deborah Stephen remarked that lots of women and youths in the state have benefited significantly from the Rescue Mission’s empowerment packages which have helped in reducing poverty in the state and assured him of their massive support in the 2019 election.

Corroborating, the Youth leader of the Rescue House, Bunu Bariye, gave Governor Ishaku a pat on the back for employing three thousand teachers comprising mainly the youths and pledged their unalloyed loyalty and support to the success of his administration.
