Kogi State government is set to administer a competency test, similar to the one administered by the Kaduna State government, on teachers teaching in its public schools.

Already, Governor Yahaya Bello has sent a delegation led by Kogi State’s Commissioner for Education, Hon. J.S Tolorunleke Kaduna to Kaduna to understudy the competency test conducted for primary school teachers in public schools by the El-Rufai administration with a view to replicating the same.

While revealing this on its twitter account on Monday, the Kaduna State government said other State Governors have also shown interest in conducting competency tests for primary school teachers in their public schools.

“We will continue to share our experience so as to salvage the education sector in Nigeria,” Kaduna state government added on the twitter account.

Alhaji Abubakar Salihu, an official of Kaduna SUBEB presented the document which contains the processes and procedures used in conducting the competency test for primary school teachers in public schools to the Kogi State Government’s delegation on behalf of Kaduna State Government.

Kogi State Commissioner for Education commends Governor El-rufai for his political will to implement the educational reform while promising that Governor Bello will do the same in Kogi.
