Ogun 2019: PDP will defeat APC-Sikirulai Ogunleye

The newly elected Chairman of Ogun PDP,Mr Sikirulai Ogunleye has stated it clearly that “We intend to spread hand of fellowships to members that are aggrieved, we intend to extend hand of goodwill to members of other parties and I don’t have any doubt in my mind that we will put an end to the government of penny wise, pound foolish of APC”.

The chairman made this statement at the Ogun PDP congress held at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta organised by the party.

While fielding questions from newsmen, he also made it known: “My emergence no doubt about it will bring all aggrieved members, all those that have grouse back to the party and I see this Congress putting an end to problems of PDP in Ogun State.”

“With my emergence I intend to run an open government, open party administration.

“TAKING OVER IN 2019 By the virtue of the positions I have held in the past, I opportunity in Ogun State to have run for the governorship elections for two times, I served at the House of Assembly two times, I have been the Chairman of a local government, the local government that is known to be the most civilised in the State which is Ifo local government, I have a very successful local government administration, I don’t have any doubt in my mind that the mantle of PDP will be just and a very just person and that I am electoral success person”.

He added:
“The entire people of Ogun State should expect a very vibrant, constructive opposition and we are looking up to having a 2019 election won by PDP. We will run all inclusive and a united PDP, we want to run a political administration that will encourage party members of other parties”.He assured.

Also at the event was a representative of Independent Electoral Commission(INEC) and another party big shot, Mr Eddy Olufeso, in his opening speech admitted that “the party has gone through trauma in the last eight years before arriving at the congress.”

“Nobody wins alone, we are stronger when we are united”. Therefore, he urged all the party members to allow the injury of the past laid to rest and work for the unity and progress of the party.

Adebutu also added” We have the best team possible here, assembled at this congress and to my mind, as God is arranging us for a better government, a responsible and compassionate government that is devoid of falsehoods.
