Enthusiasts, artistes throng 2nd Ibadan Make Up Fair

No fewer than 100 beauty enthusiasts and vendors in the country thronged the 2nd Ibadan Make Up Fair(IBMVF) to network, shop and promote the nation’s beauty industry.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the fair was held at Mauvre 21 Events Centre in Ibadan on Sunday.

NAN reports that several beauty brands, ranging from make up accessories, cosmetics Jewelries and other beauty products were displayed at the fair.

The fair also saw many of the enthusiasts treated to special make up by some of the vendors present at the fair.

Maltida Ogunleye, an Official of the fair told NAN that the fair was a beauty affair which brought together beauty enthusiasts and vendors

She said that the idea was to bring them together to network, shop, share knowledge and promote the beauty industry in the country.

“The fair is organised for the vendors and enthusiasts to relate, network and promote the beauty industry in Nigeria.

“It is to allow people to pick up products of various make, shades, foreign and local. It is to also encourage the vendors through increased sales,’’ she said.

She stated that the fair had since commencement in 2012 recorded huge successes.

She said that the beauty industry in the country was growing with the help of the synergy that has existed between the vendors and other stakeholders.
“Many of the brands here are proudly Nigerian. We are here to support and promote them.’’

Some of the exhibitors and enthusiast, who spoke to NAN, recounted the successes recorded at such fair.

Bunmi Faleye, an enthusiast, told NAN that she was attending the fair to get the best in make up, and cosmetics.

Majority of the exhibitors told NAN in separate interviews that the fair was an opportunity to showcase their brands, make new customers and increase sales.
