Commenting on the new deal, the Managing Director, Weststar Associates, Mirko Plath, said: ”Performance, reliability and cost-effectiveness were fundamental for the decision to purchase the trucks and Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles have been a hallmark of premium quality for over 100 years now. It stands not only for reliability and economic efficiency but also first-class product and service quality with comprehensive expertise in the area of customer-oriented transport solutions. “

Apparently excited at the deal, Plath concluded: “We are very proud to partner with Total Nigeria Plc and our long-standing customer, Transport Services Limited (TSL) on this new business.”

Weststar introduced the Mercedes-Benz Actross trucks to the Nigerian market about a year ago, promising to boost the infrastructural development efforts of the Nigerian Government with its trucks. The recent delivery is seen in the industry as part of the fulfillment of the promise.
