CP Calls For Togetherness,Support And Hardwork

The Ogun State commissioner of police CP Ahmed Iliyasu had for on the people of Yewa and Ogun entirely to come together in hardwork to support the Nigeria Police Force in curbing crimes in all cribs of the state.

The commissioner who made this speech at the Yewa Command Headquarter,Owode Egbado on Thursday during Community Policing Organised by Police Community Relation Committee (PCRC) said “the state can only survive when we all come together to fight against criminal offences,expose any criminal activities in every cribs and corner within the state”

Policing is not police without the people and the people can not policing without the police.
He said, coming together is the only way to end security threat, urging all citizens to support the police force. “Traditional Rulers, Religious leaders and other stakeholders here in Ogun can only solve security threat only when we come together to share our feelings” Iliyasu said. Appreciating effort of the Yewa axis police force, Iliyasu noted that, it is the only axis that has zero tolerance to Cultism, Robbery, Kidnapping and other criminal offenses. He said “Yewa has 100% corporation with the State Police force”.

Welcoming the Commissioner of Police to the meeting, Divisional Police Officer Owode Egbado divisional headquarters CSP Agboola Abiodun expressed gratitude to the commissioner of police describing him as Lion of Gateway. ” The station has what can be described as transit camp for new arrivals, part of what has been used as State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) and Motorized Division (MTD’s) offices. “This prompt the officers and men of this division to live in rented quarters which does not enhance productivity. “We implore you Sir, to use your good tenure to equip all Divisional Headquarters and the Only Area Command at Ilaro with necessary machineries and enough personnel to beef up adequate security in the area”, he said.

At meeting, the State Chairman police community relation committee (PCRC) Ibrahim Olaniyan,explained that propagating micro policing in the community is the only way to fight criminal offenses in the state. He said, the residents are the eye of police, urging all stakeholders to corporate and have confidence in the state police force.
