President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with the family of Dr Ali Pantami, the Director-General of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) over the death of his mother, Hajiya Amina Ali Ahmed.
The President’s condolence message is in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu in Abuja on Sunday.
The president extended his condolences to the government and people of Gombe State over the passing away of the matriarch of the Pantami family, who during her years on earth, epitomised compassion and wisdom.
Buhari also mourned the death of Chief Ignatius Nicholas Akobundu of Ugorji, Isiala Mbano, Imo State.
He commended the deceased for his resourcefulness and visionary leadership.
He noted that Akobundu worked assiduously and selflessly for the development of Imo and unity of the nation.
Late Akobundu, father of Princess Gloria Akobundu, the Chief Executive Officer/National Coordinator of NEPAD, died at the age of 77.
He prayed that God would grant the departed souls peaceful rest and comfort the families they left behind.
