Year 2017 COWLSO Conference To Focus On Ingenuity Of Women­- Bolanle Ambode

Wife of the Governor Lagos State, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, today in Lagos stated that this year’s Committee of the Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) National Women Conference, would focus on the ingenuity of women as innovators and solution providers.

Mrs. Ambode, who is the Chairman of COWLSO made this known at Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa, while interacting with newsmen on the forthcoming conference, the 17th edition, slated for Tuesday, October 24 to 26, 2017 at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria lsland.

“This year’s Conference theme is expected to focus on the ingenuity of the Nigerian Women in the pursuit of innovative and practical solutions aimed at achieving sustainable development within her immediate sphere and community at large.”

“You will agree with me that women are uniquely created, endowed with skills and blessed with creativity. As helpmates, we care for the family and impact our immediate environment positively. The woman out of very little creates; transforms the little created to something bigger and better. Our transformation efforts extend to all facets of human engagement,’’ she said.

According to her, the Conference with the theme “She Creates, She transforms’’ would be declared opened by the wife of the Vice President, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, while Governor Bindo Jibrilla of Adamawa State would declare it closed.

Mrs. Ambode said further that seasoned facilitators would treat topics such as Women in Agriculture; Networking, Etiquette; among others, adding that side attractions, such as brand new cars, among other tempting prices would be won at Raffle draw of the Gala Night on day 11 of the programme.

The COWLSO Chairman said that buses would be made available to convey participants from Yaba, Mile 2, Berger, Agege, Iyana Ipaja and Ajah, to and from the venue.

Other highlights according to her include the presentation of the inspirational woman award and certificates of appreciation to notable individuals and corporate recipients.

Mrs. Ambode said that conference materials would be available for collection by participants at Lagos House, Marina, from Thursday 19th to Saturday 21st October 2017.

COWLSO Women’s Conference is organised annually and attracts participants from across the Country.
