Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting on Saturday grabbed a brace for Stoke City as the hosts denied Manchester United their fourth win of the 2017/18 English Premier League (EPL) season.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the match played at the Britannia Stadium saw Choupo-Moting sweep in the opener for Stoke City from a Biram Diouf cross in the 43rd minute.
But Manchester United equalised two minutes later, just before half-time, after Paul Pogba’s header went in off Marcus Rashford.
The second half saw the Red Devils take the lead through Romelu Lukaku in the 57th minute after he had his initial shot saved by goalkeeper Jack Butland.
However, a second goal by Choupo-Moting through a powerful header from close range in the 63rd minute ensured that Stoke City ended Manchester United’s 100 per cent start to the season.
In other EPL matches also played earlier on Saturday, Manchester City thrashed 10-man Liverpool 5-0 in a one-sided encounter.
