Ahead of the reconstitution of the Rivers State Executive Council by Governor Nyesom Wike, the Chairman of the Labour Party, Mr Reuben Favour, is begging the Governor to appoint some of his Commissioners or Special Advisers from the Labour Party and other parties.

Favour said he is appealing to the Governor to constitute “an all inclusive” government because that would give other parties a sense of belonging in the governance of the state.

Significantly, one of the grouses of the former governorship candidate of the party in the 2015 general elections ,Prince Tonye Princewill, for leaving the party for the All Progressives Congress,APC,is that the leadership and some members were already fraternizing with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state even before the party could sit down and chart the way forward immediately after the 2015 election. He said he felt betrayed by people who could not stick to principles like the members of APC in Rivers who have remained formdable opposition despite losing to PDP.

The strident pleas of the Chairman of the Labour Party on Governor Wike to appoint people have been inaundating radio stations in the state.

It is not clear if the Governor would heed the pleas.
