A Karmo Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, on Wednesday ordered the remand of a 38-year-old driver, Seun Kelly, who allegedly injured his neighbour, in Suleja Prison.

The judge, Mr Abubakar Sadiq, ordered the remand of the defendant until Sept. 20 after he pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Kelly, who resides at Tosha II Gwagwa village, Abuja, was arraigned on a three-count charge of criminal force, assault and causing hurt.
The prosecuting counsel, Auhioboh Florence, had told the court that one Rose Peter reported the incident at Gwagwa Police Station on Aug. 9.
Florence said that the defendant committed the offence on same day at about 10.30 p.m. at Tosha II Gwagwa village.
The prosecutor said that the defendant accosted the complainant and beat her up.
She said that the defendant inflicted injuries on Peter’s hand and destroyed her Techno phone valued at N6, 500, adding that the complainant was rushed to the hospital.
She said the offences contravened Sections 265, 246 and 262 of the Penal Code.
