Angry reactions have trailed the startling revelations by Mr.Livingstone Wechie, Executive Director of Integrity Group that all the documents he tendered against ex-governor Chibuike Amaechi  on the floor of the Senate alleging that over 70billion was misappropriated during his tenure in Rivers were forged  and given to him by incumbent Governor Nyesom Wike government.

In its reaction, the Rivers Peoples Democratic Party, through its publicity secretary,  Samuel Nwanosike  called on the Senate issue a warrant of arrest on Wechie for lying on oath knowing that the documents tendered before it against Amaechi were forged.

PDP said it has not started the prosecution of Amaechi not because the documents were forged as alleged by Wechie but because the former Governor has appealed the case to the Supreme Court.

He said that no responsible government would start prosecuting a matter at the lower courts when the case is at the Supreme Court.

PDP alleged that Wechie has been hired by Amaechi to launder his image.

The Party reminded Wechie that he told the Senate that the documents alleging that Amaechi illegally sold the assets of Rivers State and ferried the money into fictitious accounts were sourced by  the Integrity Group in the process of carrying out investigation on the state finances. And no time did say that the state government provided the documents to him.

In the reaction of APC in Rivers, it merely reproduced the statement signed by Wechie in furtherance to his earlier confessions on AIT FOCUS Nigeria.

On his part Charles Jaja, an APC Chieftain called on Amaechi to sue Wechie for libel. He warned that if the Minister failed to do so, he and other of his friends will sue Wechie for defamation.

The Civil Liberties Organization, Chairman South-South, Carl Uchegbu for which Wechie is the Deputy Director and Publicity Secretary and also dissociated itself from Wechie confessions.

The Grassroot Democratic Initiative,a political group of Governor Wike has dismissed Wechie as a confused man lacking Integrity.

The President of the GDI Bright Ameahule, denied the allegations by Wechie that Wike gave the group contracts without passing through due process.

Wechie, has, however vowed to reveal more alleged breaches off due process by Governor Wike in times to come.
