In the case of Anambra elections, Nnamdi Kanu’s first mistake was that he did not consider the usually consensual approach of the Igbo in taking decisions.

Secondly, whereas it could be said that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is hundred per cent Igbo, it is not likely that every Igbo is IPOB, and on that ground, it is a wonder how he would realise his total boycott drive when he has failed to consider the views of others on the road to decision.

Thirdly, his speaking at all times, and in all manners, added with repudiating the rules of war (good generals do not open too many fronts at a time), he has endangered his project, which though is not even improper.

Fourthly, from his utterances, it is obvious he has not read much about other agitators and revolutionaries, who spend more time drawing workable strategies before actions. Hear Sun Tzu: “tactics/actions without strategy are the noise before defeat…. (as) … strategies without tactics are the longest road to victory.”

NK ought to understand by now that what is more reasonable for him, for the project, is evolving a strong strategic plan, which must factor in other lines of thought as much as possible. This catch-as-can-catch approach will take its toll.

His project, though yet to be fully discussed, has a foundational validity of facts against pretences of the Nigeria project. Yet, a drive which would be meaningful and result yielding must be four-dimensional.

Elsewhere, I reported an encounter (reportorial) with Ojukwu, where I learnt that the 30-month war would have ended after the fall of Enugu if not the assitance of many non-Igbo Nigerians, who were friendly with the project and worked at frustrating the Federal Might being imposed on the old East.

In other words, comment must be reserved with respect to other ethnic groups or even significant individuals. There is no such thing as an ethnic group of idiots and another of cowards/traitors.

As Mokwugo Okoye said in his work, “letter to Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe…”, ‘there is no such thing as a race of geniuses and another of scoundrels. Each race has its own dose of superset citizens and misfits…”
