Court orders DSS to release Ifeanyi Ubah within 48 hours

Justice Mohammed Idris of Federal High Court, Lagos, on Thursday, ordered the Department of State Security Service (DSS), to unconditionally release Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, if they cannot file criminal charge against him.

Justice Idris made the order while delivering judgement in the fundamental rights enforcement suit filed against the DSS and it’s Director-General, and other respondents in the suit.

Prior to the order of unconditional release of Ubah, Justice Idris, had dismissed the preliminary Objection filed by DSS, challenging Court’s jurisdiction to entertain Uba’s suit.
