Ex Gov. Oshiomhole

A former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Edo State, Blessing Agbomhere, has described the immediate past Governor of the State, Adams Oshiomhole, as a coward who can no longer tolorate his rising profile in the State.
He also accused the Deputy Governor of the State, Philip Shaibu, of joining forces with Oshiomhole, to cause trouble in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in the Etsako central wing of the party.
Agbomhere who refuted his alleged suspension from the party, said that it was very far from the truth as he still remains​ a bonafide and respected member of the party.
He said that his purported suspension by his local government wing of the party, was masterminded by the former Governor and his cousin who is now the State Deputy Governor.
He accused the duo of scheming to ease him out of the party because of his rising profile which they view as a threat to their “expantionist theory.”
“The purported suspension placed on me by my local government chapter is all the handwork of the former Governor of the State, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole and the current Deputy Governor of the State, Philip Shaibu.
“Both of them are witch-hunting me because they are noticing that I am rising like a colossus and also knowing that nobody can wave me aside in the scheme of things.
“Who are they in the scheme of things? I have contributed immensely to the growth of the party. Let Oshiomhole and his attack dog, Shaibu, tell the world what they have contributed to the success of the party so far.
“One thing is sure, Oshiomhole is no longer the leader of the APC in Edo State. The mantle has since fallen on Godwin Obaseki, the Governor of the State.
“Is that not enough to warn him (Oshiomhole), to thread with care? He should know that the era whereby his authority looms larger than life across the State is fast gone. We are now in a new era.
“My purported suspension was teleguided by Oshiomhole and his boy, Shaibu just to cut me to size. But it will not stand. I still remain a strong member of the party, working for its progress,” Agbomhere declared.
He stressed that he gets support through phone calls from the party faithful who also express shock at the premeditated plot against him.
Effort made to get reaction from the former Governor failed as his media aide, Mr. Victor Oshoke, could not be reached on his mobile phone.
