Dr. Samson Isibor, the National Secretary of Accord Party, has disociated the party from an alleged alliance with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to form a mega party.
Isibor, in a statement he  signed after the party’s NEC meeting, also warned Alhaji Mohammed Nalado, to stop parading himself as National Chairman of the party.
“Accord Party wishes to inform the public and Buhari government that there is no time a decision was taken by the party to go into alliance with Prof. Jerry Gana-led alliance,” the statement said.
It noted that the purported alliance is a “gimmick to deceive Nigerians and to curry favour from the PDP…just as Mohammed Nalado deceived Jonathan and got an appointment from the PDP-led federal government as chairman, Governing Board of Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda.”
Isibor further alleged that Accord Party never benefited from Nalado’s appointment, except that he “fed fat” from his romance with the PDP and neglected his own party.
“Likewise, his co-traveller, Rasheed Ladoja, collected N100 million from Chief Tony Anenih on behalf of Accord Party, assuring PDP to mobilise Accord members to vote Jonathan. It was later found to be a deceit,” he alleged.
Isibor therefore threatened that the party would institute contempt charge against Nalado, if he did not stop to parade himself as the National Chairman of Accord Party, “as the case is before a federal high court in Benin,” noting that his term had expired four years ago.
