Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State

The Ogun State Government has recruited a total of 1007 new officers into the state Civil Service. ‘

They are made up of 803 officers absorbed into the administrative and other professional cadre following the 2016 Public Service Entrance Examination and the 204 others recently recruited into the mainstream of the Civil Service through the recruitment exercise into the model schools.

At a two-day induction programme organized by the state Civil Service Commission for the officers, and others, who participated in the year 2015 promotion and upgrading exercise at June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, the State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun tasked them to contribute their quota to governance by adding value to the government programmes and policies.

Represented by the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga, Amosun congratulated the officers on their new appointment, urging them to justify the appointment by showcasing their potentials and utilising their knowledge at the various Ministries, Agencies and Parastatals they have been deployed to.

While describing the State Civil Service as one of the best in the nation, Amosun admonished them to imbibe good conduct and inculcate the positive values and virtues the Civil Service is known for.

Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Mrs. Susan Folarin commended the steadfastness and unrelenting efforts of the governor at actualising its administration’s agenda in the area of employment generation.

“All these achievements and many more, would not have been possible if the present administration, led by His Excellency, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, had not been steadfast in its pledge and unrelenting in its efforts at bringing the state to the promised land”, she added.
