Nigerian troops of Operation Lafiya Dole dismantling official Boko Haram terrorists’ flag at Parisu, Camp Zero deep inside Sambisa forest

The gallant Nigerian troops of Operation Lafiya Dole have dismantled the official Boko Haram terrorists’ flag at Parisu, Camp Zero deep inside Sambisa forest.

The dismantling of the flag by the troops in the on-going operations inside the Camp Zero, signify the capture of the headquarters of Boko Haram terrorists.

Meanwhile, the Northern patriots,  a political pressure group has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for providing the leadership and enabling environment for the significant achievement by the Nigerian Military in putting an end to the reign of Boko Haram insurgents in Sambisa forest.

Reacting to the major feat recorded by the troops of Operation Lafiya Dole in clearing the remnants of Boko Haram insurgents at ‘Camp Zero’ located deep within the heart of Sambas forest, the group declared that  the President has by the development successfully delivered one of his campaign promises of defeating Boko Haram.

“Before now, we were bedeviled with insurgency in the north east. We are happy the situation has been finally contained by our gallant soldiers. There’s however the urgent need to extend similar commitment in ending the incessant clashes between farmers and herdsmen, banditry, militancy and kidnappings”, the group observed.

The Northern Patriots in a statement signed by its Director General, Ismail Sani advocated for an improved community policing, as a way of stopping crime before they occur, adding “it is only when the community and the police agree to work together that the people can trust and volunteer information and assistance to help prevent crime, and at the same time arrest criminals, easily”.

While re-echoing the call for a constitutional responsibility for traditional rulers, in view of the significant role they play in maintaining law and order in their domains, the group appealed to Nigerians to eschew violence and love one another irrespective of religious, tribal or political differences.
