UI promotes academic staff

University of Ibadan, UI, has released a list of 18 academic staff whose promotions were approved on Monday and Tuesday 5 and 6 2016 by the Appointments and Promotions Committee.

Among them were: Dr. Oluwatoyin Jegede of the Department of English who was promoted from a reader to a Professor with effect from October 1 2013. Other promoted to professorial cadre are: Dr A. O. Fawole, Obstetrics & Gynaecology; Dr O. B. Adedeji, Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine; Dr A.U.Onuka, Institute of Education; Dr A.O. Dada, Religious Studies; Dr A. O. Okwilagwe, Library, Archival & Information Studies; Dr K. O. Omolawon, Human Kinetics & Health Education; Dr M.K. Adewumi, Animal Science and Dr F. O. Ogwumike, Economics.

According to a statement signed by the institution’s registrar, Olujimi Olukoya, those promoted to readers are: Dr O. J. Oyundoyin, Special Education; Dr Oluwatoyin O. Ogunkunle, Paediatrics; Dr A. O. Folawewo, Economics; Dr A. O. Fakolade, Special Education; Dr Deborah O. Ajayi, Mathematics; Dr O. E. Olajide, Adult Education; Dr Monica N. Odinko, Institute of Education and Dr C.R. Nwozo, Mathematics.
