University of Ibadan has released the list of candidates who have been admitted for various undergraduate courses in the institution for the 2016/2017 academic session.
According to the information obtained in its website, a total of 3,598 were admitted for the 2016/2017 academic session. The successful candidates who have been screened are expected to resume in February 2017.
In a statement titled, 2016 Revised Academic Calendar for the 2015/2016 session, signed by the institution’s registrar, Olujimi Olukoya, the institution’s management said, “Students arrive for commencement of the 2016/2017 Session on Monday February 6, 2017”.
Also, the institution recently announced the promotion of 13 academic staff to professorial cadres. While nine were promoted from senior lecturers to readers, four were promoted from readers to professors. Among them are: Dr J. K. Ladipo of the Department of Surgery who was promoted to Reader, with effect from October 1, 2003; Dr Eme T. Owoaje of the Department of Community Medicine and Dr. R. O. Oriaku of English Department, both promoted to Professor with effect from 1 October, 2012 and 2013 respectively.
