Rivers State Governor , Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has expressed shock at untimely death of the late Keenule Beeson Saro-Wiwa, son of the late Keenule Beeson Saro-Wiwa, Ogoni environmental rights activist.

In a statement issued on Tuesday night ,by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, Wike expressed shock over the death of Mr Saro-Wiwa(jnr) .

He said his death is a major loss to Rivers State , Nigeria and humanity.

The statement added that the Late Saro-Wiwa(jnr) devoted his life to humanity , pointing out that his transition to glory has left a vacuum that will be difficult to fill.

While condoling with his immediate family over his untimely demise, Governor Wike prayed that God should grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
