Salkida: wanted

Ahmed Salkida, the Nigerian journalist with access to Boko Haram insurgent group was arrested on Monday at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja by security operatives, according to Saharareporters.

The website reported that the journalist was arrested after he disembarked from the Emirates flight that brought him from the United Arab Emirates where he has been living to Abuja.

The Nigerian military had declared Salkida and two others wanted after a video showing some of the kidnapped Chibok girls was shown on television last month.

The video was allegedly made available to media by the journalist.

The military said the journalist was declared wanted because he may have information that will help in the rescue of the abducted Chibok girls.
