Port Harcourt: Soldiers arrest 142 criminals in Operation ‘Crocodile Smile’

As part of the new war by the military against criminal elements in Niger Delta region the 2 Brigade Army says it has arrested 142 suspects following a raid at Lagos and Abuja streets in the Town axis of Port Harcourt.

The Assistant Director Army Public Relations, Captain Eli Lazarus, in a statement said some of the suspects were later released after questioning while others are still being interrogated.

According to the statement, 2 Brigade is conducting a show of force as part of the Army’s exercise Crocodile Smile, which commenced this weekend.

The raids on criminal hideouts on land and in the creeks will continue.
