Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the assasination of a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Gideon Aremu.
The lawmaker representing Orelope State Constituency was killed on Friday evening at the front of his house by yet to be identified gunmen.
Reports indicated that the gunmen on a motorcycle had followed Aremu as he was returning his home in Alakia area of Ibadan before killing him in front of his house.
The Oyo State Police Command said it has deployed its men in search of the killers of the lawmaker.
