The trial of an Ibadan-based female lawyer, Yewande Oyediran, charged with the murder of her husband, Lowo, was again stalled on Thursday over missing autopsy report.

Oyediran, a staff of the Directorate of the Public Prosecution in the Oyo State of Ministry of Justice, allegedly murder her husband, Lowo, by stabbing him with a knife on Feb.2.

The trial was stalled following an application by the prosecution to include two vital documents missing in the list of proof of evidence.

Prosecutor Sanya Akinyele told the court that the autopsy report and the statement of the co-tenant of the defendant were missing in the proof of evidence list.

Akinyele, therefore, urged the court for an adjournment to enable him obtain the two documents which were vital for effective prosecution of the case.

In his response, Defence counsel Abioye Ashanike informed the court that he had just been served and needed time to read through it and react.

Ashanike urged the court to adjourn the case to enable him study and reply to the application because the charge against his client was a capital offence.

The judge, Justice Munta Abimbola, adjourned the case till June 27 enable the defence reply to the application by the prosecution counsel.
