The warehouse of MTN, one of Nigeria’s mobile network providers, off Acme Road (behind Zenith Bank) went up in flames today. The fire started at the early hours, persisted till afternoon and escalated into a serious inferno that brazed parts of the building roof.
It took efforts of two fire service trucks to put the fire out and several police officers to control the crowd.
TheNEWS however discovered that the fire started as a result of a bad wire connection.
