The Nigeria Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Sunday said it arrested a 56-year-old Boko Haram terrorist kingpin, Garba Thlama, in Aski Uba Local Government Area of Borno state.
The Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Maiduguri.
Abdullahi said that the suspected Boko Haram was apprehended at of Mussa village of Askira Uba on the 7th of June this year.
“Our menl have made a remarkable progress by arresting a Boko Haram Terrorist kingpin.
“The notorious kingpin was said to be a recruiter, supplier of logistics, arms and IED’s to Boko Haram terrorist.
“He confessed that his three children were also arrow heads of Boko Haram.
The command had since handed over the terrorist on 8th June 2016 to the Army for further Investigation.
