Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, the 54 year-old Nigerian football team player and coach who died on June 8, 2016, certainly left his footprints on the sands of time.
“The Big Boss” as Keshi was popularly known was the first Nigerian footballer to play professional football in Cote d’Ivoire and then in Belgium and the first African coach to qualify two African countries for World Cup- Togo and Nigeria among other ground breaking achievements.
Femi Ipaye captured Keshi while on duty on September 3, 2012, at the Abuja National Stadium training pitch, as he prepared the “home based Super Eagles” for the 2013 African Cup of Nations which he eventually won.
